Mary C.M. Phillips will present a literary and musical presentation with discussion on Jane Austen and her characters at the Malverne Public Library.

To celebrate the bicentenary of the publication of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, set in Hertfordshire, the University of Hertfordshire is hosting an interdisciplinary conference to consider the ‘locations of Austen’.

The Jane Austen Society Europe (J.A.S.E) will be holding their first conference celebrating the bicentennial of the publication of Pride and Prejudice.
BBC One will be airing Death Comes to Pemberley staring Anna Maxwell Martin and Matthew Rhys as a three part murder mystery.
The School of Performance at the Arts University Bournemouth will be presenting a brand new adaptation of Jane Austen’s Persuasion, at the Pavilion Dance South West, Bournemouth, UK.
BELLE is inspired by the true story of Dido Elizabeth Belle (Gugu Mbatha-Raw), the illegitimate mixed race daughter of Admiral Sir John Lindsay (Matthew Goode).
